Fics like christmas lights and treehouse heights

When Eric plugs the lights in, it’s like a million fireflies suddenly populate his living room. He tries not to gasp in awe and wonder, but his delight escapes him nonetheless. Bright spots twinkle from the tree and they reflect off of the shiny spherical ornaments and sparkly garland, and the whole thing shimmers like a disco ball. Beside him, Jack is just as awestruck, mouth falling open and eyes scanning the tree from top to bottom excitedly, taking in the sight for the first time. “It’s really pretty,” Jack muses aloud, though it’s only audible to Eric because he’s standing so close to Jack. Eric bites the inside of his lip as he glances at Jack. “Yeah.” ——— As Jack and Eric's holiday fun continues, Eric confronts his feelings and Jack, resulting in light angst, and, after a couple of insightful heart-to-hearts, a night he isn't soon to forget.
