Fics like Man from the Front

After his hometown in Galahd is attacked, it's only natural for Harry to answer the King's call to arms and join the Kingsglaive. Somewhere along the way, he falls in love, gains a captaincy, and defies the Astrals themselves. ____________________ Galahd may be his home, but even he would admit it was a bit of a shithole this time of year. It never stopped fucking raining. His feet squelched loudly in his boots with every step, an unwanted reminder that he’d need to tell his troops to keep their feet up tonight. He wasn’t going to have men dying to trench foot on his watch. "Camp is made, sir," Sleepy saluted as he gave his report. Harry nodded in dismissal, hiding a smile when the young man slunk immediately to his cot and passed out, most likely for the rest of the night. Bastard was already snoring, too. At least he landed with a nickname that both suited him and wasn't wildly inappropriate. For perhaps the thousandth time since he got promoted to Captain, he wondered why in the hell Hot Cock hadn't strangled one of the other guys when they started throwing that little gem around. Most likely, he kept the name out of spite.
