Fics like cats who train together...
Blossomfall and Thornclaw aren't mates. They just sleep next to each other. And groom each other. And have kits together. But it's just to mess with Lionblaze, that's all. — Blossomfall shakes him off, sitting up straight. "Hold on," she says. "If hiding makes us suspicious, why don't we just...let him believe we're mates." Thornclaw tilts his head, folding down one ear. "Isn't that the problem?" he asks. "Right," she says, "but we're in on the joke. So when he realizes we're not mates—" "—it'll be hysterical!" he finishes. — they're not mates, and it's definitely only lionblaze who thinks they are.
