‘Checking me out already, Astley?’ he asks, and she’s surprised to see a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. ‘What’s the verdict?’ She rolls her eyes. ‘Let’s just get this over and done with.’ London, 1983. The war has been lost, and the Dark Lord reigns supreme over wizarding Britain. Aria Astley is one of the surviving members of a rapidly-dwindling resistance, forced to live in the shadows to escape the regime. She's lost everything she once loved, and will stop at nothing to exact retribution. Regulus Black is her polar opposite. He's climbed the ranks by dealing ruthlessly with his opponents, and is sat at Voldemort's right hand- yet has never felt more disillusioned. When the drugs and alcohol no longer give him the escape he craves, he decides to find an alternative way to get his kicks. From the moment Aria and Regulus meet in a secluded corner of wizarding London, they both know that the course of their lives- and perhaps that of the entire wizarding world- are about to be irrevocably changed.
