After getting used to having Adam to himself 24/7 during Adam's winter break from work, Nigel doesn't quite know what to do with himself. ------------------------------------------------------ Fifteen minutes had passed since Adam's departure, since his baby blues had graced Nigel's reluctant puppy eyes. "It's just for eight hours, Nigel, I'll be home for dinner. I always am, you know that." Nigel regretted not chasing after his retreating form. The ticking of the clock attached to the wall seemed to amplify every second -- if it wasn't for Adam's tempering of Nigel's former aggressiveness, he would have leapt up and torn it from its flimsy mount. Since when am I a fucking clock watcher? Flopping back onto the bed, Nigel mashed his face into Adam's side of the pillow (it was decided, two weeks into their relationship, that having separate pillows was, at best, redundant). To his dismay, it smelled much more strongly of Adam's shampoo than of Adam's hair. Trying to go back to sleep was pointless. With a tightening of his jaw, Nigel sprang up, praying for once that Darko had a deal for him to supervise. Just for eight hours. Fuck.
