Fics like the faint slip of silver

Danny finds it two weeks after Steve leaves. He’d been digging around in Steve’s dresser trying to find an old Knicks shirt he knows he left in there at one point over the years when his fingers come across a small velvet box. He picks it up and with curiosity getting the better of him, carefully takes a seat on the bed and opens it up. Inside is a silver ring. It’s wide, obviously a man’s and has a couple nicks from age and wear. It hits Danny like a ton of bricks that he’s staring at what must be John McGarrett’s wedding ring.
