Fics like home where you were not there
“Why am I not dead yet?” “Death cannot hold you. Not yet.” “Will you come get me when it’s time?” “Always. In every universe.” (Unspoken: you will never die alone, forgotten). It’s enough. (he’s so lonely, it aches.) Izuku sees Death from a young age, and their relationship changes everything and nothing at all. He ends up with a different understanding of death and a quiet obsession with graveyards. None of that is enough, in the end.
