My Mermay 2021 fanfic project. Merman Connor x Female Reader x Merman Nines After investigating strange dolphin-like noises, our curious reader discovers a pair of merman brothers, one of which is covered with new and old injuries. She learns that the life of a mer is not an easy one, especially for a male population where females are scarce to nonexistent. The reader, along with Hank, the retired police officer that lives by the sea, are determined to help the brothers live better lives than the stressful path of violence set out before them. The merman brothers, however, have already decided exactly how the reader can help them.
