Fics like to mend what is not broken

Being dragged out of the Empty did a number on Castiel’s wings, but Dean is there to help him. Castiel can perform ‘parlour tricks’, heal small nicks and cuts, hear prayers and sense emotions in their broadest sense. He is still stronger than a human, but he can no longer lay waste to their foes with the touch of his palm. He still has his wings but they are as useless as they have been for years.
