Fics like trouble with the curve

"It’s a gorgeous pitch, and it floats its way toward Cody before breaking in a big twelve-six arc. It’s not what he’s set up for, at all, had been expecting Kenobi’s front hip sinker to the inside corner, and he has to scramble to grab it, almost overbalancing in the process. But he hauls it in, finds his center of gravity, and tries to look nonchalant as he throws the ball back to the mound. He almost thinks he’s gotten away with playing off his surprise, because Kenobi only pauses for a split second, but Cody gets the impression of narrowed eyes, a hint of a wry smirk, before his game face settles back in." Rex is hungover. Cody is not a bullpen catcher. But he is a sucker who'll do anything for his brother. So.
