Castiel knows that Dean Winchester, the town witch, is one of the most handsome and charming men in existence. He also knows that Dean would never consider courting some awkward baker like himself. Tired of constantly declining marriage requests, Dean declares a contest. He will marry whoever can bring him his charm, which is wrapped around the neck of his cat-familiar. Castiel, being an isolated and oblivious man, has heard nothing about this contest, but he did just befriend a black cat.
