Fics like Best Way to Get Over Your Ex is to Get Under Gwaine

Gwaine is new to Camden, a trade to Chelsea FC and one night when Percival is taking him out and about, he sees a man in the bar ignoring everyone and reading giant old books. He falls in love instantly. But the bookish sort that he falls for, never fall for him in return. But Merlin is a different sort all together, and he doesn't fall in love instantly. It takes a solid three weeks. A prequel to "With Friends Like These"
