Fics like Five Year Strangers
One year after graduating Stanford, Sam and Jess show up at Dean's house. They find him living with his roommate Cas, but Jess thinks they might be more than that. *** It’s golden hour, now, light falling across the house and lawn like heavy honey. As they walk down the path to the car, Jess says, “I’m gonna tell you something, and I think you should believe me.” Immediately, Sam stops walking. “That’s not at all a suspicious way to start a conversation.” “Sam,” says Jess, looking at him with big, earnest eyes. “I think Dean and Cas are together.” “I mean, yeah, they live together,” says Sam, but Jess is shaking her head. “No, I mean together-together.” Sam stares at his girlfriend for approximately five seconds. And then he bursts into laughter. “Dean? You think Dean is gay?”
