Fics like the roaring mid-thirties

Thirty-five year old Dazai is devastating. His hair is long enough to gather in a loose knot at the base of his neck, sometimes long enough to plait, and it’s lighter than it used to be. Today, he wears it tied in a silk ribbon. He’s no taller than he was at twenty nor any heavier but he’s a brighter character, no longer weighed down by the blood on his hands or the weight of his thoughts and it shows in his body language and smile. Time has done you good, Chuuya thinks, sparing a quick glance at the hand holding the champagne flute to see that the bandages run only up to his mid-forearm. The last time they saw one-another was winter two years ago during a cross-over with a case from the ADA and Port Mafia, and Chuuya had been too much of a coward to tell him that he looks so much better now he’s happy before and after sex in the back of a rental Dazai had hired for a stake-out mission. Until today.
