Stiles’ face is thunderous, and his chest is heaving. Peter… may have miscalculated. He knows that he should probably back track, or at the very least try to dig himself out a little. But that’s not who he is. He’s more of a charge ahead at full tilt kind of person. He can’t stop himself from saying, “If you’re so against us having a say in your life, then maybe we shouldn’t be in it.” Stiles comes up short at this. He looks over to Chris who has gone back to ignoring them. He looks back at Peter with an unreadable expression. They stay like this for several moments, both waiting for the other to blink first. Stiles does. He nods and says, “Yeah, I guess you shouldn’t.” Without another word, Stiles leaves, front door slamming behind him.
