Fics like Consul Alec Lightwood (soon to be Lightwood-Bane)

“By the way — who was elected Consul? What degree of bigotry will I have to put up with for the next quarter century?” Magnus asked. Alec grinned. He hadn’t realized that he’d forgotten to give Magnus that particular bit of good news. “Well, I think he’ll be far less bigoted than any of the other options,” he began. “He’s gay, you see, very much so, and he’s dating a warlock.” Alec paused, his grin brightening. “More specifically, he’s dating the High Warlock of Brooklyn.” Or, the missing scene from QoAaD in which Alec tells Magnus that he was elected Consul.
