Fics like (you're my) convalescence

There’s fire licking at his back, after all, and he can see snow just ahead. Big, fluffy flakes drifting slow to the pavement, melting when they make contact, and there’s no discernable buildings. No discernable faces, no lights or sun or trees or grass. Only the street, the fire, the snow, and Langa. He has to catch up, before the fire reaches him, before Langa leaves his sight. Reki pushes forward, leaning, trying to move faster. If he could just catch up… He wakes with a start, stomach dropping down into his gut. Then he throws himself over the side of the bed and vomits. Reki catches the flu, and proceeds to have a very bad day.
