Fics like tell me all that brings you grace

Tadashi takes a bullet for the love of his life. Ainosuke gets a crash course in what love really is. Gone is the mask he usually wears in public. Those stupid eyebrows look stupider when they’re arched down like that. “Why are you lying there?” he’s asking now. “I told you to get up.” Tadashi tries to speak but his body fails him the most frustrating way. This had better kill him, he decides, or it is the most embarrassing way he could possibly have gone. The most useless. The most stupid. There are cameras, he realizes, distantly. This will be recorded. He can’t be this sad. Mustering every bit of agonized strength left in him, he lifts his arm, reaches, but his coordination is shot. He’s aiming for Ainosuke’s cheek but hits his lapel instead and grips it, because if he doesn’t, his arm will fall again. “Ainosuke,” he starts, tastes blood, stops. Ainosuke leans closer. “You really are stupid."
