Fics like Have You Ever Seen That Old Movie...?

Old movies have the best ideas... ...at least, they do in Peter Parker's experience. Peter is just making his way through his day, when fate throws him one of the biggest curve balls of his life. Now, with no adult to guide him and his adoptive siblings depending on him, he'll have to pull out all the stops to make it through to the other end of this. With the rogue Avengers back in town and watching his every move, and only his friends backing his play, the question is: Can Peter pull off the biggest trick in cinema history to save his family? ...doubtful, but he's gonna try it anyway.
