Fics like thunder only happens when it's raining

Anyway, the point is, Wei Wuxian knows rain. It’s a natural, normal weather phenomenon. Normally he only pays it as much mind as he needs to--like, maybe he remembers to grab a hat if it looks stormy. (It’s more likely that he’ll forget the hat and then have to crowd under Lan Zhan’s umbrella, which neither of them is complaining about, mind you.) It’s just. You know. Rain. Sure, he and Lan Zhan may have had several dramatic, fraught, emotional confrontations with each other in the middle of horrible rainstorms, but that’s just coincidence! Sometimes it rains! Nothing to worry about! It’s just that maybe they’re primed to expect a certain outcome from past experience, which might explain why, when lightning flashes and thunder cracks and the sky opens up over them a little ways outside the nearest village, he and Lan Zhan whip around to face each other in a sudden panic.
