CyberLife has a mission: stop the deviants, who are power-users that broke free of their restrictors to roam freely in the streets, terrorizing the human citizen of Detroit. Connor is sent to stop those deviants along with Hank Anderson, with the permission to use his own set of powers. He is convinced that CyberLife handles the monstrous power-users as humanely as it is permitted to be, and that his mission contributes to making the world a better place for everyone. That is until harmless behaviors shown by the deviants start shaking his convictions.
