Fics like pinprick

“I’ll be Mei Changsu,” the sick young marshall said, voice still hoarse. Lin Chen glared. “You won’t actually get away with taking on that kind of title, you know.” The disrespect annoyed him too. He was one of several in Langya Hall who had Mei Changsu’s name on his skin, and had no patience with any fakes they heard about in reports. (or, the one where soulmarks denote someone who will change your life or whose soul is tied to yours, and "Mei Changsu" is the most widespread soulmark of the era.)
