Fics like The Subtle Art of Being a Chaos Gremlin

Wei Ying is exhausted, working all day and taking classes at night to get his degree in .. literally anything. He doesn’t care. He’s just trying to make a future for himself after being disowned by his adoptive family. Wei Ying’s life is Not Going Well. So it is slightly less than ideal when, alongside his takeout order, he finds a baby delivered to his doorstep. An honest-to-god baby. Like, tiny hands, tiny feet, tiny everything. There’s a note pinned to the baby. A note with *his name* on it. “Wei Wuxian, Meet your cousin, Yuan. Please take care of him.” How. What. Who. Why him? Who would trust him with a baby? But it doesn’t matter. Because the baby is looking at him, with its big baby eyes, and Wei Ying might not know whose kid it is, but he isn’t going to leave a baby on his doorstep. 2 years later, Wei Ying has dropped out of school. He’s managed to find work as an administrative assistant at a major company, thanks to his jiejie’s peacock pulling some strings. Unfortunately, he has a new boss, who just so happens to be his old high school classmate, the most stuck-up man on the planet who Wei Ying is definitely *not* crushing on.
