Fics like Legend of the Jade Rabbit: The Musical

His teacher called them “hybrids,” a group of half-human and half-animals that occupied 30% of the world’s population. Normal humans didn’t know about them because they couldn’t see the animal traits they possessed. To a normal human’s eye, hybrids looked like ordinary people, while only other hybrids could spot each other from a crowd. This helped keep hybrids safe and hidden from society, allowing them to walk among humanity without judgement or shame. The reason for this phenomenon was due to a special gene only hybrids held, and their teacher said that was what made every hybrid so special. Little Xiao Zhan thought it was super cool! But if you asked him, the rabbits were the best and most special of the hybrids. After all, no one else had the famous Jade Rabbit as their ancestor!
