Fics like Limelight

At nine years old, Yuuri Katsuki fell in love with James Dean. Yuuri kept skating with the encouragement of Minako-sensei and his sister, but realized that just because he was a skater didn’t mean he couldn’t act. Being a character on the ice was just acting. Pretending that he didn’t want to cry when Nishigori pushed him on the ice was just acting. Pretending that the reporters didn’t make him want to hide in a bathroom stall and puke his feelings was just acting. It also, inadvertently, resulted in Yuuri becoming known as the terrifying, leather jacket wearing, rock music skating, never talking to reporters or anyone else, motorcycle riding badass.
