“Good evening Uncle,” He starts, and hesitating for a beat, Zuko dips his head in greeting to Ozai, not meeting his eyes, “Good evening, f-father.” He stumbles slightly on the word, because Zuko had recently stopped associating ‘father’ with Ozai and going back into that habit might actually kill him on the inside. If Ozai minded the slip, he doesn’t mention it. In fact, he doesn’t pay Zuko much attention, and he’s all the more grateful for it.
