Fics like On Crimson Wings

Rural and isolated, the Minakami village had always been a site for old superstitions and strange, obscure customs. Past the torii gates, flocks of red butterflies circle the skies. For Tenn and Riku, it is home and they’d never known anything else. Yet, as they grow older and the villagers begin to whisper of the twins’ sacred duty, Tenn finds himself unsettled. What exactly are they expected to do? Why are there twin deity statues all over the village, with one of the twins always missing their face? And, most importantly… What is the Crimson Sacrifice Ritual?
