It’s two in the morning and Jose can’t sleep, yet again. He’s lying in his bed, turning and tossing around, trying to fall asleep, but his attempts are ruined by the constant strumming of the guitar strings and the low husky voice singing country songs in his mind. It’s a nice voice, Jose has to admit, but it’s not so nice when Jose has a morning shift, has had for weeks, and his soulmate decides to have his jamming sessions always in the middle of the goddamned night . He’s way too sleep deprived for having the patience to think positively about the situation – at this point he doesn’t care to be happy that he has a soulmate out there, he cares about the hours of sleep he’s losing, all because of the said soulmate. His soulmate finishes the song with a final strum on his guitar, and Jose is this close to actually praying that it’s his last song for the night. It’s not. Jose feels like screaming into his pillow.
