Fics like a better sail

“I know who you are, all right?” Trixie says. He shifts his balance. Knife, lyre, sachet of holy herbs, wineskin. He marks them mentally on his body, makes a sundial of himself, tells time by the tools he carries. Katya strokes the bird’s tiny head. “Oooh.” He’s mocking him, his eyes bright with laughter. Trixie knows calm is the deadliest weapon in his arsenal, but it’s one of the few he hasn’t mastered. “Yeah,” he goes on, “and your whole thing isn’t gonna work on me.” “Oooooh!” He waggles his fingers in the air. “Not my whole thing!” Trixie's a champion on an endless tour of the sea. Katya's a witch living on an enchanted island. The rest is (ancient Greek) history.
