Fics like The Last Stranding

"Sam, I know that you normally refuse human cargo, but I’m not sure I trust anyone else to handle this." Sam didn’t need to know who his cargo was, he didn’t need to know what the specifics were of their past, or what would happen to them once they were delivered. The less Sam knew the better. It would be a whole lot easier for both of them if he kept his distance, and just did his job. Right? ~ It should have been like any other job. Collect the cargo, deliver it in one piece, and move on. Sam didn't like to get attached, and he certainly avoided making connections whenever possible. However, this delivery would turn out very differently from what he had planned.
