Fics like Kings and Prophets

In a world ruled by prophecy and destiny, would you heed your fate and crown your King, or would you defy it and follow your love? The day Khun was kicked out of his family was the day he saw gold. Bright dazzling gold, glowing more brilliant than jewels amidst the reds of the roaring blaze. Smoke billowed from the manor, clogging its silver and blues in inky black. The screams of Khun Prophets rose over the crackling flames. Horrendous shouts arose as people fled for their lives. But all he could focus on was a blurred figure framed in ash and fire. The only clear view was of shining golden eyes, warm as the life-giving sun, yet even more intense than the scorching flames. They softened, seeing his pitiful state–bruised and bloodied, clothes torn. Around him, Khun could make out the vague form of his god, a fish curling around the man’s image. Little Prophet, meet your King, its voice rang through Khun’s head. The start of a journey.
