Fics like What If?

A series of mostly unrelated "What If?'s" wherein I explore what could have been if things didn't go the way they did. Most are one-shots, but some might be longer. Chapters 1-3: What if Dexter killed Paul? (and What if Rita found out?) After confronting Paul about his case against Rita, Dexter decides to do what he does best and get rid of him the most obvious way he can. He dumps the body in his usual spot, and this is no problem. That is, until 19 bodies are discovered off the Bay and people start wondering what Paul did to deserve his spot among the killers and rapists. Chapters 4-7: What if Dexter Wasn't a Twat? A rewrite of the new season finale. Instead of uselessly killing Logan, Dexter just accepted the water. Story follows Batista and Masuka as they go up to Iron Lake and confront their old friend. Truths and lies unravel. Chapter 8: What if Dexter and Joe Swapped Pathologies? Crossover with Joe Goldberg from "You." Chapters 9-: What if Dexter was the Older Brother? From the foster home to a meatpacking plant and then all the way to Miami. The Bay Harbour Butcher is here to stay.
