Fics like A Kiss to Break a Curse (or rather, Possession.)

Prompt: anonymous asked: Wei WuXian went into the Burial Mounds but something else came out with him. [....] Wei WuXian’s body walks out of the Burial Mounds but his mind is shoved into the passenger seat, watching in horrified screaming silence as he slaughters the Wens, tortures Wen Chao, and hugs his brother who doesn’t see the unfamiliar smirk behind his back. When the war is won, It looks at Itself in a mirror and smiles at Wei WuXian and winks, “My turn to play.” During the Phoenix Mountain competition, Lan QiRen passes Wei WuXian and hums an old Lan spell to ward off evil. He mostly does it out of spite, a subtle snub to a heretic, but in that moment, Wei WuXian spins around and grabs Lan QiRen’s wrist. Lan QiRen goes to tell him off but freezes at the look of naked begging fear on Wei WuXian’s face. “Help me,” he whispers, “Please help me.” An instant later, Wei WuXian’s face smooths over into the familiar wide smile. “So sorry! Thought I saw a fly.” and walks off. Lan QiRen stares at his back and realizes with rising horror that Wei WuXian has two shadows.
