Fics like the trees welcome with open branches

Lan Wangji does not mean to return to Yiling. Nothing grows on the Burial Mounds. In the natural world, grave sites are fertile ground for new growth, the decay of human bodies providing rich food for both animal and plant life, but the resentful energy of the murdered piled in their mass graves leeches life out of anything that tries to take root here. But here is a tree, alive amongst all the husks, small and with sprouting leaves. It's not even the right season for sprouting leaves. - Canon divergence where Lan Wangji returns to the Burial Mounds a few months after he bumped into Wei Wuxian and A-Yuan there the first time.
