Fics like The Skies Below Us

Tony’s dreamed of being allowed to ride in an airship -- it’s only too bad that his first flight is aboard the Red Star, a ship owned by the dreaded Winter Soldier, a man Tony’s only just been informed is to be his husband. The crew of the Star, however, don’t seem to see the Soldier as a fearsome beast at all, but a courageous and loyalty-inspiring commander. The truth must lie somewhere between the two extremes, and Tony will not rest easy until he knows which it is. Bucky’s prowess on the battlefield has raised him from poverty to princedom, but unlooked-for weath hadn’t saved his arm, or stopped his commanding officer from pressing him into an arranged marriage. Still, his betrothed is clever and charming and beautiful, and Bucky thinks he could get used to having Tony on his arm... If only Tony could learn not to be afraid of him. The Red Star will take several days to make the trip from Tony’s former home to the palace Bucky’s never even seen. They have only that long to discover whether they can be partners, or if they will part ways when the airship docks.
