Fics like What He's Lost

This story follows Alexander and Thomas as they work through misunderstandings, jealousy, and the looming consequence of not finding their soulmate as their hostility mellows into a deep and tender friendship. Gradually, it becomes clear to both of them that simply being friends will never be enough - but they continually swallow down their feelings in the hopes that it will preserve what they have. --- or the one where they both pretend they're not desperately in love with each other and fail miserably. Laf spends most of the time being absolutely done with everyone’s bullshit; Alex is painfully oblivious and thinks sharing a bed somehow equals friends and nothing more. There’s lots of UST and angst, but mainly pure, undiluted saccharine.
