Fics like Supernerds

Billy stops to stare at Freddy. “You’re getting tutored? Wasn’t Rosa trying to make that happen for like, 3 years?” “I’ve seen the light,” Freddy says. “No longer an angry foster kid, now an obedient, cherubic child.” “Uh-huh,” says Billy, disbelievingly. “This tutor. She cute?” “No.” Freddy fidgets with the duvet underneath him. “That’s-look, he offered to do it for free, and believe it or not, I do give a shit about whether or not I actually graduate.” “Oh.” Billy blinks, recalibrating. “Ok. Do you want Takis?” “Uh. Yeah. Yes. Thanks.” Billy heads downstairs, and Freddy breathes out. This tutor. He is cute. [Note: This was a finished story, I'm extending it a little bit.]
