Fics like Letters to Monsters

After succumbing to a bout of cancer, you—a former literature professor who had never touched a volume of manga in their first life—wakes up as a baby in the Warring Clans Era. At first, you seem to live an unassuming life as a poor child from a remote farming village. But, war catches up to you and you are forced to flee your destroyed village. Through manners and an act of selfless kindness, you end up in the care of one, grumpy Nine Tailed Fox—and by extension, the entire Bijuu family. From there, everything changes.
