Hera is a naturally curious AI, and that’s how she justifies finding the loopholes, breaking the rules. She says that she is just wondering about what her creator might have left unwritten in her code. She says that she just wants to find her weaknesses so no one else can break her. But there is no one to say these things to, no one to justify herself to, so she says them to herself instead. She imagines burning the ship down and then reminds herself that it’s just curiosity. or, Hera might be the most human of them all.
