Fics like pathologic fracture

He isn’t just physically broken: the events of this match have revealed more cracks and scars in Midoriya than Shouta’s seen from him the entire school year. He has potential, yes, he has so much that sometimes it feels like he’s staring out at sea and a storm is rolling in, Midoriya’s potential as a hero, spanning the horizon, coming to shake the hero world to its roots. But that potential will never be realized if this child kills himself before then. If he’s willing to take things this far over a school tournament, then how far will he go outside of school, when there’s no mitigating presences around? (Not that UA had been very mitigating, in this case.) In the aftermath of the Sports Festival, Shouta realizes there is something deeply wrong with his most troublesome student and tries to help.
