Fics like Drowning in Sound

AU - Newt has been travelling around the continent as a bard with a troupe of friends for four years before he seems to get his big break. He meets a mysterious leather-clad stranger in an inn one night when he is downtrodden and hurt. Despite his suspicions, he quickly finds himself drawn into a world of entertaining those with darker tastes, under the rather too heavy hand of powerful mage, continental madman and overall nefarious schemer Gellert Grindelwald. Beware the tags and keep checking as this goes on. Fic initially inspired by art by the fabulous Potatofu (though don't blame her for this depravity) and beta'd by the lovely Vins
