Fics like Ambition

Takes place immediately after David kills Goliath. He’s 17, has been in Saul’s service as court musician for two years, then was sent off for two years back to shepherding when Saul decided his bipolar treatments were sooo last year. David returns to court via the duel with Goliath. Jonathan is ~25 at this time. I really do like David’s character, faults and all, and have always wanted to write this scenario in David’s POV.
