Fics like On the Brink

((This story contains content that may be disturbing to sensitive readers. Discretion is advised.)) It has been several months since the incident at the highway that nearly took his life, and Munkustrap is still struggling to move on. Though his body has mostly healed, his mind is slow to follow, and he finds his nights plagued with nightmares, his days fraught with obsession. In his desire to bring the one that wronged him and his family to justice, he makes a grave mistake and unintentionally places himself in the clutches of the Hidden Paw himself, where he’ll find himself tested to the very brink of his sanity. When Munkustrap turns up missing, Tugger and Mistoffelees go on the hunt, which brings Tugger back into a world he thought he left behind years ago. With the help of a sultry pub cat and a guilt ridden smuggler, can they bring back the Guardian before they lose him forever? (Abandoned)
