Fics like bleeding warmth under our fingertips

so with fleeting, careful touches, jimin brushes taehyung’s fringe out of his face and thumbs away tears slipping from his eyes. he runs his hands down taehyung’s arms and asks where it hurts, then down his chest, feeling the bumps of his ribs and the frantic inhale-exhale of his breath. searching, searching, searching, jimin feels down taehyung’s clothes, looking for the source of the blood, if there is one, and hoping, hoping, hoping, that there isn’t. after he’s finished, taehyung breathes, “not mine.” “then whose?” jimin brings a hand up to taehyung’s cheek, cupping it carefully. at this quiet question, taehyung’s frame heaves, face pressing into the warmth of jimin’s palm. his hands raise, fingertips tracing jimin’s knuckles, pressure keeping jimin’s palm snug against his cheek. that’s answer enough. “s’okay, taehyung. s’okay,” breath stutters from his lungs, “you’re okay now. he was hurting you but you’re okay.”
