Fics like bloodlines

There are, on occasion, words that aren’t like any you’ve spoken or heard before. Words that claw their way up from the belly, tearing through your throat and falling from your lips, whispered with all the desperation of a prayer with no hope of being heard—words like these are one of the most immutable, rarest forms of hope. A testament to human vulnerability and resilience, all wrapped up into a singular, one-of-a-kind sadness, a plea only meant for the gods to hear. “Please d-don’t die. Don’t die.” Prayers don’t really work that way, though. Nezuko already knew as much. But god, please, just this once, let it work like that. Or, yet another role-swap AU, in which Nezuko goes down the mountain that fated morning, Tanjiro is the one to stay behind, and Giyuu is not the one to find them. POV will alternate between Nezuko and Tanjiro, primarily exploring their relationship, but there will be some eventual Nezuko/Zentisu and Tanjiro/Giyuu.
