Fics like and they found each other

“What do you like to read then?” asked Tony. “Stories I guess,” said Peter, with a shrug. “Ones where people find each other.” Tony looked at him, with a questioning expression, waiting for him to elaborate. “You know, where people who start out alone find each other, and make their own families.” Sounded like a bunch of fairy tales to Tony, but he didn’t dare say so out loud and steal a bit hope from this boy, who only pretended he didn’t want to be adopted. Tony knew an act when he saw one. He supposed it was easier to chase people away and pretend he didn’t want a family than it was to be crushed when things didn’t work out. Tony couldn’t say he blamed him. OR A pre-Iron Man Tony Stark accidentally finds himself at an adoption fair, and he meets a certain seven-year-old genius who steals his heart and changes his life. febuwhump day 23 + 24: unwanted, abandoned
