Fics like On The Mend

When Hershel Greene suffers a massive stroke, his daughter Beth knows it’s only a matter of time before she loses her beloved father. Living on the family property is Shane Walsh, the resident bad boy cop who finds himself an outcast after an affair with his former partner’s wife leaves him without his best friend, and a bad reputation that he knows he’ll never live down. As Beth steels herself for the inevitable loss of her father she enlists Shane’s help in fixing up the old farmhouse for sale. It’s then that she begins to see past Shane’s transgressions, and realizes that there’s more to him than his reputation suggests. Will she sell the house and move to a new life in Atlanta with her sister? Or will she take a chance on the good man who made a bad choice? AU - no zombies. Rated Explicit for future reasons, tags will change as the story progresses.
