Fics like Enough

Todoroki turns his head, placing his other cheek on Izuku’s curls, and Izuku can feel his poor heart skip a beat. “You’re more amazing, Midoriya,” Todoroki says, his words barely audible. “W-What do you mean?” Izuku blurts out stupidly, so close to fainting from overheating it’s not even funny anymore. Not that it was funny in the first place. “You always know the right thing to say,” Todoroki explains in a gentle voice, and Izuku can feel the words on him, from the place where Todoroki’s cheek is rubbing against his hair. It sends shivers down his spine and he goes still, the weight of his feelings striking him in this single moment, and he’s scared. He’s scared of how deep he’s falling. “It’s… It’s n-not that amazing.” “Trust me, it is,” Todoroki sighs softly. “It really is.” Izuku always wanted to be a hero. He didn't ask for depression, bullying and lost friendships. However, he never expected to suddenly gain a quirk, a friend that means so much more than a friend and a meaning to go on. Funny how high school changes people, right?
