Fics like Beary Best Friends

When Sherlock is five and Mycroft is eleven, Mycroft gives his little brother a stuffed bear toy with soft, golden fur and navy bead eyes. "That bear," Mycroft says conspiratorially, "is no ordinary toy. This bear," Mycroft gently takes the plush toy and places it against Sherlock's narrow chest and the younger boy's arms wrap around it automatically, "when you need him most, will come to life."
