Fics like Dying is for Losers

Richie Tozier had dreamt of Eddie Kaspbrak’s death almost every night since October of 1988, when the town of Derry lost a bright little boy in a yellow rainslicker and cherry red galoshes down a storm drain. He’d seen it nearly every night since he was thirteen. He’d seen it even when he couldn’t remember it in the morning, even after his mind forgot Eddie, but never truly forgot how to be stupidly, helplessly, hopelessly in love with him. Over and over and over again it had played, ingraining itself somewhere deep, until Richie’s body knew it like muscle memory. He’d done this dance a thousand times, and Richie thought it was about fucking time for some new choreography. ----- a companion piece of sorts to my other fic, but this time everyone lives
